Marriage Certificate required for Spouse Visa

Marriage Certificate is mandatory for the couples planning to enrol their names for a VISA, Visitors International Stay Admission (family VISA). The applicant must ensure that their certificate is duly attested from the nation where they got married. The next step suggests the person gets approval from the Marriage Registrar, where they would be applying for a VISA by showing this attested marriage certificate.

Required by Law:

The law mentions that no one is eligible to apply for family VISA without sufficient proof of their marriage. Marriage authenticity is acknowledged by the Government of India when a foreign body examines the profile of an Indian to determine their marital status. In some nations like the United Arab Emirates few additional conditions are stipulated such as the applicant must prove that his basic pay is AD 4000; otherwise, he would not be granted a family VISA despite meeting the above criteria.
