Step 1: Eligibility Of Partners
At first, you have to understand that both the partners must be eligible for the registration of marriage.
- The minimum age for the male & female partners must be 21 years & 18 years respectively.
- Mutual consent of both partners is very important for marriage registration.
- Both the partners must not belong to the forbidden relationship.
- In the case of a previous marriage, the spouse must be either dead or have got the divorce decree from the court.
Step 2: Documents For Marriage Certificate
There are many documents that are important for the registration of the marriage of the partners. These documents can be –
- Identity Proof – Aadhar Card / PAN Card / Passport / Voter ID Card
- Birth Proof – Class 10th Marksheet / Birth Certificate
