Can I claim a refund from the child development center?
I have paid 3 month amount one lakh fifteen thousand to private child development center but now my son got medical emergency I am asking her 2 month refund amount but she is refusing to pay what should I do?
To request reimbursement for the two months of fees from the private child development center, first analyze their refund policy, because many centers carry strict no-refund clauses. In case they refuse, follow up with a formal written request for a reimbursement, citing your son's medical emergency as the reason to withdraw. If the center still denies your request, consider filing a complaint with the consumer forum by saying that you did not use the service and therefore deserve a refund. If needed, one could even meet a lawyer to see if further legal actions such as a legal notice or a civil suit can be filed for recovery of the amount.
First, check whether the private child development center has a refund policy since most institutions have strict no-refund clauses. If they refuse, then send a formal written request for the refund, stating that the reason for your son's withdrawal is the medical emergency he had. If the center still denies your request, you can file a complaint to the consumer forum since you would claim that the services were not used and you deserve a refund. Besides, should legal action be required, compensation for losses suffered because of their refusal could also be claimed.
