Borrow related query

When I was in a relationship I gave money to that person without telling my family members when he needed it..but due to some reason the relationship broke up now talking to him means he will follow me again and he says that money will be paid only when you come back..what to do in such a situation where even the family does not know and I get the money.. please give me some options..
