Can inherited property be donated?

Based in England UK , agriculture land in Panjab of about 7 acres which is for 5 children ( 2 female 3 male) under Indian inheritance laws as joint owners in 2016 . I wish to donate my share from joint share to a charity. Wants to know if Indian laws allow unpartitioned agriculture to be donated and written under trust or charity.

Under Indian inheritance laws, unpartitioned agricultural land can be donated but will require consent from all lawful heirs. Since you and your siblings share the joint ownership of this land, you would need your siblings' approval to donate your share to charity. The donation may be formalized by a trust or charity, provided it complies with local regulations. It is best to seek the advice of an attorney, preferably a local one, in order for the donation process itself to be in compliance with the law, and also to give you a draft of necessary papers. It is also important to check if the charity is registered under Indian law for it to accept the donation.
