I am appearing for the UPSC examination; however, there is a discrepancy in the documentation related to my father's name. My father's documents, including his Aadhaar card, PAN card, and voter ID, include his full name as "Mr. X." In contrast, my documents—such as my 10th and 12th grade certificates and graduation mark sheet—only list his name as "Mr. XY." This inconsistency raises concerns regarding the validity of my OBC certificate, which could potentially lead to the cancellation of my candidature during the document verification process. To resolve this issue, I am considering changing my father's name in the relevant documents and preparing an affidavit to clarify the surname discrepancy related to my OBC certificate.
