Under the special marriage act, if you satisfy all the conditions given under section 4, he has to make an application to the marriage registrar, and the application shall be open for public objection for a period of 30 days, and if any objection is received, the marriage registrar shall inquire and resolve the matter within 30 days, so it will take a maximum of 60 days if an objection is received, and if no objection is received, the marriage shall be solemnized within 30 days. As there is no such provision that the notice shall be sent to the family.

In India, court marriage under the Hindu Marriage Act requires a 30-day notice period before solemnization. During this period, the notice is displayed at the Marriage Registrar’s office for any objections. If no objections are raised, the marriage can be solemnized. Both parties must be of legal age, and necessary documents like age proof, address proof, and photographs are required. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
