What can I do if college is not giving back my documents?
I am a 1st year student pursuing BSc but now I want to cancel my admission and do other course so I wanted my documents back from college but they are refusing to give it back without the full fees. Actually I belong to SC category so my fees was going to the college through Mahadbt scholarship but till now only 1st installment has gone to college but now I want to the documents back fast to get my admission done through cap round Mht cet. What should I do? I can't pay the full fees
The college is not allowed to hold your documents hostage. According to the UGC and AICTE guidelines, no college or university in India can hold back your original documents or charge you any fees for giving them back. You should first try to talk to the college authorities and explain your situation. If the college authorities are not cooperative, you can file a complaint with the UGC or the AICTE.
