What documents are needed for court marriage and citizenship process?

Hello Sir, we are both Hindus—she is from Mauritius and I am from J&K. I have a few questions: 1) What are the necessary documents for court marriage and registration, and what is the full marriage process and its duration? 2) If she comes to India on a 1-month tourist visa, will she have to return after 1 month, even though we are already married, since extending the visa is not allowed in India? 3) If so, when she comes back to India, will she need to apply for a tourist visa to enter? 4) What is the process and time frame for obtaining citizenship? 5) Is dual citizenship permissible?

Necessary documents required for court marriage in India include the following: Application form with both parties' signatures Proof of age either by a birth certificate or a passport Residential proof- Aadhaar, voter ID. An affidavit stating marital status and nationality. Two passport-sized photographs of each party. It includes submitting the notice of intended marriage, which is published for 30 days. After this, if no objections come forward, then the marriage can be solemnized. In general, it takes a day to get registered. Regarding visas, your wife needs to leave after one month on a tourist visa and will have to get a new tourist visa for re-entry. Citizenship processes take long and the country does not allow dual citizenship.

For court marriage in India, the necessary documents include a signed application form, proof of age, like a birth certificate, residential proof, affidavits, and photographs. The process usually takes one day after a 30-day notice period for objections. Regarding visas, if your wife enters India on a tourist visa, she will have to leave after one month; then re-entry would require a new tourist visa. It is the process of citizenship acquisition in which it involves a residence for several years, and India does not allow dual citizenship.

Sir, the required documents are proof of age and residence, passport sized photographs, marriage application form and an affidavit. The process may take few weeks and regarding the tourist visa, your wife must leave after 1 month and apply for a new visa to return.
