What documents are needed to sell inherited family-owned property?

Hi sir, I have a small doubt. My grandparents have 4 sons and 2 daughters. They own a property consisting of 9 cents of land and 1 acre. Can we sell the entire property with the mutual consent of the 4 sons and 2 daughters, or are their children's signatures also required? Also, can one person give a Power of Attorney to use his share of the land? In that case, will their signature still be required?

If the land was your grandparents’ personal property, it can be sold with consent from all 4 sons and 2 daughters. Grandchildren’s signatures are not needed. Anyone can give Power of Attorney to let someone else handle their share, but they must sign the POA document at the time of giving it. It is advised to consult an expert lawyer who will assist you with the best course of action. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
