What should I do about this false loan reference situation?

A person whom I know 3 to 4 years back took loan or something and put my name and number as reference. I don’t even know when the person took loan and how much he took. But now the police and advocate calling me and harassing me to pay some amount for settlement or say the persons parents or relatives or friend’s number. I don’t know any of their numbers. I said I don’t have, but the advocate said as a process in court 420 case is filed on me. I said I will not pay and I did not sign anywhere or I did not give any guarantee and blocked the advocate. Since then I am so scared what if they sent notice to my address. Please advise me what should I do now and what are the consequences I will face for blocking advocate

To address the harassment regarding the loan you didn't take, start by documenting all communications with the police and advocate, noting dates and details. Avoid further engagement until you've consulted a lawyer specializing in civil or criminal law, who can advise you on your rights and appropriate responses. If you receive any legal notices, your lawyer can help you formally deny involvement and clarify that you did not consent to be a guarantor. Consider filing a complaint against the person who misused your details.
