Will attending the RCR hearing affect my divorce case outcome?

I filed for divorce based on mental cruelty against my wife 4 months ago. She was informed in advance. However, when she went to her home, she did not receive the court notice, citing different reasons. As a result, the last hearing was postponed by two months. Two weeks ago, she filed an RCR case against me. The RCR hearing date is 3 weeks before my divorce hearing date. My question is, if I receive her RCR notice and attend court on that date, will she have any advantage over me?

Sir, if you want a divorce and have received an RCR notice, you can still deny reconciling in court if you’ve already filed for divorce. If your spouse doesn't appear in court, the court may grant an ex parte divorce decree in your favor. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
