Am I entitled to compensation for the laptop delay and issues?

I ordered an Asus laptop (₹52K) on Amazon. When I received it, there was a missing screw (1 issue). I contacted customer care, but they only communicated in English and Hindi (2). I raised a ticket for a replacement, and they said I would receive an investigation call, but I never did (3). I received a message from Amazon with the seller's number and toll-free number. When I called the office, they told me to contact the toll-free number, but that did not resolve my issue (4 issues). After 4 days, they arranged the return (5). However, when the delivery person came to pick up the return, he was unaware of the process and ended up giving the product back to me (6). I called customer care again the next day, and they arranged for the return. Now, I am waiting for the refund. Afterward, I will reorder the laptop, which will take another 10 days. So, the total time delay is 15-25 days. This delay has been frustrating, especially since I borrowed money for the laptop. Additionally, the laptop's price has increased, and when I asked for compensation for the increased cost (₹1K), they said they could not bear the extra cost. I also inquired about compensation for the delay and the stress caused by their issues, but they said they could not provide that either. I believe I am entitled to compensation.

You probably have a valid claim for damages based on the various issues you encountered with your Asus laptop order on Amazon. As a consumer, you are entitled to quality goods and prompt service under consumer protection laws. The failure to include the screw, poor communication in handling you, and delays in processing your return and refund are considered serious service failures. Given the rise in price and the stress caused by these issues, you can formally request compensation. In case Amazon declines, you might want to raise the issue further to a consumer court for decision.
