Can I win compensation for incomplete UPSC course services?

I took admission in UPSC PATHSHALA in May 2022. The total course fee payable in installments was Rs. 27,844/-. While Economics classes were held regularly, Polity classes were occasionally conducted but were so few and brief that they were almost nonexistent. The mentor was unavailable for classes, and despite my emails stating my availability, the mentor could not devote time. Additionally, apart from Economics and Polity, there were 5-6 subjects, but they only provided services for one or two. Are there any chances of winning this case? How much should I claim as compensation in the EDAKHIL platform if I win the case?

You may have a strong case under the Consumer Protection Act for deficient services, as the coaching institute failed to provide regular classes and mentorship. You can claim a refund for the not providing services and request compensation for distress. The claim amount should reflect the missed subjects and financial loss. Consult a lawyer to guide you through filing a complaint. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
