The legal age for court marriage in India is 21 years for males and 18 years for females under the Special Marriage Act, 1954. To get a court marriage, both partners must submit required documents, give a 30-day notice at the marriage registrar’s office and appear for solemnisation. If one partner is underage, they must wait until they reach the legal age, as exceptions are not permitted. Any age-related concerns can be resolved by obtaining valid age proof, such as a birth certificate or Aadhaar card, to confirm eligibility.

For a court marriage, both parties must be at least 18 (woman) and 21 (man) years old. Submit necessary documents to the marriage registrar and wait 30 days for any objections. If there is an age issue, the marriage cannot be legally performed until both meet the required age. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number
