Why is Air India's refund insufficient for failed entertainment system?
Dear Sir/Madam, we booked 3 flight tickets with Air India, and on both the outward and return journeys to New Delhi, the entertainment system did not work. Every time they said they would reset the system, but then they returned with the story that they did not know what was going wrong that day. We paid for a flight with an entertainment system, and we also paid separately for seat reservations — 3 return tickets and 2 sets of 3 seats. I sent an email, and they only want to refund 4,500 INR, while we paid a total of 161,757 INR. What is advisable? Should we accept this, or can you help us get more, minus your salary?

In this case, you are entitled to compensation for the failure of the entertainment system as you paid for it. You can approach the airline for a higher refund or compensation, stating the breach of contract. If they do not respond then you can file a consumer complaint in the consumer court seeking full reimbursement or compensation. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
