Can divorce be filed in any city in India?
Sir, I got married on 18.02.2022 with all rituals at my hometown in Chhattisgarh and our marriage got registered at my wife's hometown in West Bengal and the place of marriage mentioned in the marriage certificate is wife's hometown. Currently I have filed for divorce and my wife has given the petition in Supreme Court to transfer the case to her state on the basis of the place mentioned in marriage certificate. What are the options to stop this?
