Can we marry in India with different countries and religions?

We are from different countries and religions. What is the marriage system for us? I want to go to India, and I am aware of the current situation between our two countries. Is it possible to get a visa and marry my fiancé?

For international marriages involving different countries and religions, use the Special Marriage Act, 1954, which allows interfaith and international marriages. Visa complications depend on your specific nationalities and current geopolitical relations, requiring careful consultation with respective embassies and immigration authorities. Recommend obtaining legal advice to navigate complex visa and marriage registration processes.

Sir, if both the partners are of legal age to get married with proper consent then you may perform court marriage under Special Marriage Act by visiting marriage registrar office. The required documents are proof of age and residence, passport size photographs and an affidavit. You must have a valid visa to perform marriage in India. It is advised to consult an expert lawyer who will assist you to navigate the visa related challenges and ensures smooth marriage process.
