How to file divorce case?
Can I file for a divorce under the Hindu Marriage Act (HMA) if my wife’s family hid the following before marriage: A thyroid disease with a TSH level of 12.8, for which she is on medication (Levothyroxine 75mg). An incurable skin disease, which has resulted in her not having fingerprints. Irregular periods, menstrual cycles, and mood swings. Additionally, my wife exhibits the following behaviors: She threatens to make me suffer. She uses bad behavior, slang, and abusive language towards my family. She insists that I only be with her and leave everyone else. She refuses to do household chores and doesn’t listen to anyone. She doesn’t communicate properly with my relatives. She refuses to visit their homes. She refuses to see a counselor or doctor. She insists on consulting an astrologer. We have been married for 5 months, and it has become unbearable. Please advise how to collect evidence and how to build a strong case. What can be my grounds for divorce? Will I be required to provide lifelong maintenance, or can a one-time alimony settlement be made?

You can file for divorce under the Hindu Marriage Act on grounds like fraud (concealed medical conditions) and cruelty (threats, abusive behavior). Collect evidence such as witness statements, medical records, and texts. Maintenance can be negotiated, and the court may allow a one-time alimony based on her needs.
