Ma’am, Just because you are earning more than or equal to your husband does not automatically disqualify you from receiving alimony or wife maintenance under the law. Spousal maintenance is covered by a number of laws, including Section 125 of the Code of Criminal Procedure and Section 24 of the Hindu Marriage Act.
