If the other party is refusing to acknowledge your agreement, your first step should be to check whether the contract meets the legal essentials for a valid contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872, namely: offer, acceptance, lawful consideration, free consent, and lawful object. Once the validity is determined, you may issue a legal notice demanding either compliance or compensation for the breach. A civil suit for breach of contract can also be filed in the court, seeking relief through specific performance, enforcement of the contract or damages for losses incurred as a result of the non-performance of the contractual obligations. You will need proof such as a signed agreement and communications related to the agreement to support your case.
