Will name difference affect DV, exam, or future processes?

My name on 10th marksheet is X and on 12th, graduation and other identity proof is Y. Will it create any problem in DV, exam center or in any upcoming process. Can the mistake be rectified through Affidavit?

Having different names on educational documents may cause verification issues for jobs or further studies, potentially leading to delays or rejections. To resolve this, create a name correction affidavit declaring both names, your old name (X) and new name (Y), refer to the same individual, and explain the discrepancy. Notarize the affidavit through a Notary Public for legal validity. Submit it with any required documents to the appropriate authorities (like educational boards or exam centers) for corrections. In some cases, publishing a notice in local newspapers or the Gazette of India may be necessary to formalize the change. Afterward, inform all relevant institutions (schools, colleges, etc.) to update your records with the corrected name.

Sir, having variation in name in different documents may create problems so you can consider making an affidavit by declaring that both the names refer to the same person. It is advised to consult an expert lawyer who will assist you with the best course of action. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
