Can an unmarried daughter claim father's pension in India?
If a person is state government employee of Karnataka, and has a daughter who is unmarried and is of age 40 . After the demise of parents who are state government employee of Karnataka, is the daughter eligible for pension. I already asked in treasury office and they say not eligible. They say eligibility is only up to the age of 21. They ask to provide gazette copy of gio from the government.

According to the Karnataka Government Servants (Family Pension) Rules, 1964, an unmarried daughter is eligible for family pension till she attains the age of 21 years or date of marriage. for more information contact us on our helpline number.
