What can I do if wrongfully terminated by a company?
I am working in an IT company as a Senior Software Engineer. The company was founded in 2016, and I have been working here for the last 11+ years. When I started in 2013, there were only 4 to 5 members in the company. Now, as the company is growing, the total number of employees is around 100. In November 2024, I was terminated due to unauthorized leaves and performance issues, but this is not true. I have never taken any leave without informing my managers. I regularly check with them if they have any work for me. Additionally, I am highly experienced in my field, yet I am getting a lower salary than someone who joins the company with just 4 to 5 years of experience. Now, the company is asking me for either a relieving letter or a termination letter. However, according to my plans, I wanted to work in this company for a few more years. What can I do in this situation?
Sir, firstly you should review the your employment agreement regarding termination and if it is found that the act of a company is unethical then you may consider sending a legal notice with the help of an expert lawyer that you may be entitled to compensation or even reinstatement depending on the circumstances.
