What is the legal term for pension lawyers for government employees?

An aunt of mine, who passed away recently, was a family pensioner (after the demise of her husband, who worked for the state government of Maharashtra). She had some savings in her pension account and another savings account with a private-sector bank. She also invested some of the amount she received in the form of provident fund, gratuity, commutation, and pension in a government scheme that is yet to mature. The nomination has been made for these investments. My question is, since the amount received from the above-mentioned retirement benefits was given by the government to its authorized beneficiaries (the pensioner and family pensioner), possibly for their personal expenditure, will the government take it back upon intimation, as both of them are deceased? Also, I would like to know the legal term for lawyers who specialize in pension matters for government employees.

If your aunt had nominees, her retirement benefits should go to them. You will need to submit her death certificate and the nomination form to claim it. If no nominee exists, you may need a Legal Heir Certificate. If you are unsure, it is advised to consult an expert lawyer who specializes in Pension Law.
