How can I file divorce petition on the ground of cruelty?

I am a Muslim male and I've been married for 5 years, and my wife and I have a 3-year-old child. Unfortunately, I'm not happy with the marriage. My wife is often disrespectful to me, and we haven't lived together for more than 8 months at a time due to my work in the UK and her studies. Even when I visit India for 2 months each year, our relationship remains strained. I've tried to give her many chances to improve our situation, but nothing has changed. I'm considering divorce and want to know how to proceed. I'm concerned about proving that attempts at reconciliation have failed in the court if she contests the divorce suit, even though we haven't formally tried arbitration or reconciliation with relatives. I've personally given her many opportunities to change her behaviour and believe that she cant be corrected in any way.

Sir, you should consider arbitration or reconciliation with relatives by discussing the situation with trusted family members or community leaders but if still the matter remains unresolved then you may consider filing a divorce petition on the grounds of cruelty. It is advised to consult an expert family lawyer who will assist you with the best course of action. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
