What legal action can I take against harassment and false claims?

I took a loan of Rs 1,29,000 from a woman; in fact, she offered me the loan. I have already returned the loan amount, but now she is asking for more. She is also demanding Rs 25,000, which she gave me as a gift for the work I did for her. She even wrote to my office, stating that I owe her Rs 1,70,000, and later changed the amount to Rs 1,54,000. I have all the messages she sent me on WhatsApp, including one where she confirmed that Rs 25,000 was a gift from her and her friend for helping her, and that I needed to return the Rs 1,29,000. I also have all the payment receipts. This harassment is causing me mental stress, and I am having sleepless nights. What should I do?

Sir, firstly you should first send a legal notice demanding that the woman cease her harassment, clearly stating that the loan was repaid and the money was a gift. If harassment continues, file a police complaint for extortion or criminal intimidation. You may also consider filing a civil suit for defamation and emotional distress, seeking compensation for the mental stress caused. Consult a lawyer for guidance on the best course of action.
