What legal action can I take for a refund delay?

I had booked a virtual office with a renowned builder in Faridabad. After paying 100% of the payment and receiving the allotment letter, the company canceled my allotment and asked me to submit an application for a refund. Now, after more than six months, the company has failed to refund my amount. The project was not registered in RERA.

Since the builder canceled your allotment and failed to refund your payment after six months, you can send a legal notice demanding the refund. If the builder does not comply, you can file a consumer complaint under the Consumer Protection Act for deficiency in service. Additionally, you may file a civil suit for breach of contract or approach RERA for unfair trade practices, even though the project isn't registered under RERA.
