What legal options do I have for delayed judgment in court?

I am the landlord. A Rent Control Petition (RCP) filed by us in the District RCP Court has been pending for nearly six years. In February 2024, the Magistrate passed the judgment, but two months later, the judgment has not been dictated. I am told this is due to the Magistrate’s health issues. What legal options do I have?

If your case is delayed due to the Magistrate’s health condition, you can file a petition for the case to be expedited or seek a new Magistrate to handle your case. A lawyer can assist in filing an application to address the delay and move the case forward. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
