Can I perform court marriage without my parent's consent?

Sir, I was born on 8th October 2006, and my boyfriend was born on 30th October 2001. Now, my family has found out about us, and they are pressuring me to leave him, but I can't. I want to marry him and stay with him. My question is, is it legal to do so?

In India, the legal age of consent is 18, and the age of marriage is also 18 for females. The legal age for marriage for males is 21. As both of you have attained it legally you can marry. Feel free to contact us for any further queries

Ma’am, as both partners have attained the legal age for marriage, they are legally eligible to marry without parental consent. The couple can proceed with a court marriage under the appropriate legal provisions by visiting the marriage registrar's office for formal registration. It is advised to consult an expert lawyer who will assist you with the best course of action. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
