How to register my marriage without police verification at home?

I got married in an Arya Samaj Mandir in Lucknow, but my wife and I now reside at different addresses from where we got married. I want to register my marriage in court. I’ve heard that the police go to the bride and groom's house for verification, and I do not want that to happen. Could you please clarify this and explain the full procedure for marriage registration?

To register your marriage, apply at the local Marriage Registrar’s office with your marriage certificate, identity, and address proofs. While police verification may occur, you can consult a lawyer to ensure it goes smoothly, avoiding any unnecessary delays. A lawyer can assist with the process and help you meet all legal requirements. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number
