Marriage registration must be carried out with the respective registrar in whose jurisdiction the husband or wife resides. Marriage certificates issuance authorities in Madhya Pradesh are Sub-Divisional magistrate (SDM) office, neighborhood Municipal employer/municipality workplace, thasildhar/thasildhar workplace, revenue department office or through the panchayat.
