Can court dismiss a case if plaintiff fails to appear three times?

If a plaintiff or their advocate fails to appear in court for three consecutive dates, can the court dismiss the case due to default? In such instances, can I have grounds to seek compensation for the costs incurred and the stress caused by the plaintiff's absence?

If the plaintiff or their advocate fails to appear in court for three consecutive hearings, the court may dismiss the case. You may seek compensation for costs incurred and stress caused by the absence. Consult your lawyer to help you file for such compensation.
