Does FIR affect a government job?

Hello I have been appointed as probationary officer in Punjab national bank. my joining process is scheduled for month of October. my father has kidney failure, and I was taking him from hospital to my house. since he is sick I rarely drive above 30KMPH. while driving today a young man who was wearing earphones riding a bullet bike was not giving me side. I was pressing my horn constantly, I decided to overtake him, and in the process my car touched his bullet bike. fortunately no scratches or injury was caused. but the young man started abusing me and my father. he took picture of my car number plate and threatened me to file police complaint. my question is will police register FIR without any injury or scratches? I am concerned since my police verification for government job might be affected. thank you for your valuable time and response.
