Can a decree be executed against legal heirs?

There was a suit filed against my father for recovery of money given by one of his friend in the Delhi High court in year 2009, during the pendency of the suit my father expired and suit remained continued through Lrs of deceased, Lrs are; (My mother, 2 elder sisters and Son(me)) in the year of 2016 decree was passed against us (the legal heirs of the deceased) under XXXVII rule 3(6) CPC. 1st question: What is my liability to repay this debt taken by my father? 2nd question : What if i have inherited any movable or immovable property from my father? 3rd question: what if i haven't inherited any movable or immovable property from my father?

1. As a legal heir of your father, you are liable to repay the debt taken by your father, but only to the extent of the property inherited from him.

2.If you have inherited any movable or immovable property from your father, you will be liable to repay the debt to the extent of the value of the property inherited.

3. If you have not inherited any movable or immovable property from your father, you will not be liable to repay the debt.
