Stand charged with the offence of u/s 138 of N.I. act 1881

My friend name is vinay sharma. Yesterday he got a call from police station stated that arrest warrant issued in his name. My friend request to hand over the warrent but they denied rather they suggest him to go to court and settle the issue. I have seen the warrent. In that warrent his name is mentioned as Binay sarma and address is house no. 3. But his address is house no. 9. Case is HDFC BANK vs binay Sarma. My friend brought no dues certificate from HDFC too. His has cibil score copy too with him and everything is ok in cibil score report. Now in this case can police personnel can arrest my friend? According to them they are unable to find any vinay sharma in house no. 9 so they will assume that my friend is that person and they will arrest.
