What happens if I don't attend court summons?

Why do you people advise your client not to receive court summons even if he has dishonored my cheque. Why do you support your client if he is at fault. At least spare us to recover the cheque bounce amount please. It is hard earned money we invest believing somebody and you people save that person. My lawyer says the respondent is not accepting court summons, so my case is going on and on and on.

Lawyers have to do everything they can to protect the rights of their clients, even if they believe that their clients are guilty. This is not the answer you were hoping for, but I hope it helps to explain why your lawyer might advise their client not to accept a court summons.
