Can I submit Birth Certificate as evidence?
I have a copy of birth certificate of a person, who is claiming to be son of my father. But the birth certificate does not have the name of my father. Since its a copy I am finding it difficult to submit as evidence. I believe this certificate was used at the time of school admission of the person. Is there a way I can submit this as evidence or file an RTI query for the same.
Birth registration is official and permanent evidence of a person existence. Birth certificate can be used as a strong evidence but it is also important to note that only original certificate can be used not the copy of the certificate.
You can submit a copy of the birth certificate as evidence. However, it is important to note that a copy of a birth certificate is not as strong of evidence as the original birth certificate. Contact us on helpline number for further enquiry.
