How can I cancel EMI payments and seek a course refund?

I need legal guidance regarding an issue with Data Trained. I enrolled in the "Course Name" for 1 Lakh Rupees, paying through a three-year EMI plan. However, the quality of the course is far below expectations—there is poor instruction, lack of interaction, and unresponsive support despite numerous complaints. My counselor, X, Y, has not addressed any of my concerns. I decided to cancel the course, but I am now facing persistent harassment from the lending partners who are demanding EMI payments. This situation has caused significant distress. My research indicates that I am not alone—many other students have reported similar issues. I seek assistance in canceling the EMI payments, obtaining a refund, and stopping any further harassment. If any legal expert can help with consumer rights or educational fraud, I would greatly appreciate your support.

You can raise the consumer complaint with Consumer Forum under the Consumer Protection Act 2019 on the grounds of deficiency of services and unfair trade practices by providing the documents such as payment receipt, EMI arrangements, emails, screenshots of communication about poor course quality and being unresponsive, call recordings of the harassment of the lending partner. You can request from the forum for refund of fees paid, cancel the EMI loan.

To address your problem with Data Trained, you first note all messages and communications relating to your complaints and harassment by the lending partners. You can also seek a lawyer to talk through ways of canceling EMI payments and seeking refunds under educational fraud or inappropriate services. You should also file a complaint with the consumer protection agency operating in your region as several have gone through the same ordeal. Legal counsel can guide you on how to stop harassment and assert your rights effectively in this matter.
