How can I get my money back if I have been scammed by a stock market broker?

I have given 8 lakhs money for investment in stock market. He nor have any firm or any shop neither Sebi registered. But I invested at him because he said he has Sebi registration. Now can I file case against him in district consumer court?

You can file case against him in the District Consumer court under Consumer Protection Act, which regulate matters relating to violation of rights of Consumers, unfair trade practices and false or misleading advertisements which are prejudicial to the interests of public and Consumer and to promote, protect the consumer rights. Under section 7 (18) (iii) depiction of the name or seal of any institution or organisation, which makes the consumer to believe that it reflects the opinion, finding or experience of the person making such endorsement.

Yes, you can file a case against him in the district consumer court. The Consumer Protection Act, 2019 provides for the protection of the interests of consumers.
