How many days will police take to file a chargesheet in court?

Hello Sir/Ma'am, My Jurisdictional court has directed the Police station to register the 1 CC for property fraud (IPC 467,468 etc.) it is going to be 2 months, But the Police have neither registered the FIR nor they have started any investigation. I spoke with the police in charge, but no results. In this case, what should I do? what's the time limit for the Police to register the FIR? Also, What's the investigation period by which the Police should submit the chargesheet after the FIR? Thank You.

You can inform the situation to the higher police official or Raise the issue on next date if hearing . Generally Police have to Register the complaint within a week and assing Io after the order is passed as soon as possible. If the police have not registered the FIR after  court directive, you can file a formal complaint with a higher police authority or approaching the court again for appropriate action; there is no fixed time limit for police to register an FIR, for further enquiry contact us.
