If you are Hindu, you can register the marriage under the Hindu Marriage Act 1955 or the Special marriage Act if it is an interfaith marriage. You can apply for registration in Bangalore under the Karnataka Marriage Registration Rules 2006, provided either of you resides in Bangalore for 30 days under Section 8 of the Act. You also need to satisfy the necessary conditions of a valid Hindu marriage. To register the marriage, you need to approach the sub register office and get the information on formalities. On satisfying the conditions, marriage is registered at the sub register office by providing the documents such as proof of marriage, passport size photos of the couple, marriage invitation card, two witnesses with the ID proof, address proof like aadhaar, rental agreement.

Yes, you can register your marriage in Bangalore even if you got married in Malda, West Bengal. Indian law states that a couple can register their marriage in the state where either of the spouses resides. You have to make an application at the local Registrar of Marriages in Bangalore, providing them with the following documents such as proof of identity, age, and residence. You will also require affidavits confirming your marital status and the marriage invitation card, if available. Both parties are to be present during registration.
