Can I remarry if my spouse is in coma from many years?

My name is XYZ, and my partner's name is ABC. I am 26 years old, and my partner is 30 years old. My partner had his first marriage before 3 years, and after 6 months of marriage, he and his wife had an accident, and his wife went into a coma. He has almost spent more than 20 lakhs for her treatment, but according to doctors, she is in a condition where she will never recover. Since the last 3 years, she has been at her parents house. My partner and his family are trying everything to convince him to allow for remarriage as my partner's father has cancer and he wants to see him settled. His first wife's family is not ready to listen to anything, not meeting him and not even answering any single calls for my partner and his family since the last few months. There is one insurance case going on where my partner has claimed his first wife's insurance money because of that. My partner is not taking any legal questions. Please suggest a way where we both can marry each other legally.
