Divorce mutual consent in UK and process to get it validated in India?

We got married in Kanpur India in Feb 2022. I am UK resident and my wife moved along with me in the UK shortly after marriage. After 18 months of marriage , we are seeking divorce to be filed in the UK by mutual consent and under no fault divorce reason. After UK court passes final divorce decree, do I have to get this validated in Uk and how does this process work ? Also , both parties need representation in India while filing for such process?

Yes, you will need to get your UK divorce decree validated in India. This is because India does not automatically recognize foreign divorce decrees. For further enquiry contact us on our helpline number.
