Getting suicide thread from wife
Getting continuous suicide thread from wife. Not agreed for Family Counselling or visit Psycoligist. All time she is suspecting that I have an extramarital affair. I am working from Home, and I am working in IT Company. My wife working in School as a Teacher. We have 2 children, one daughter (7 Years) and Son (5 Years). I am taking care of both of them. As per her, if I will contact my parents or my relatives or my friends, she will suicide. I should not go anywhere without her permission. She brutally beat daughter in front of me if she did any mistake and saying that as I am having relation with other women, she will beat her this way. We married in 2013. I am not much interacting with her parents and her relatives. Her parents were staying with us 3/4 month in a year before COVID. Please suggest, how to protect myself from her suicide thread and able to separate from her. I have not informed her as of that I need Divorce.

So, according to section 309 of the Indian Penal Code, if any person is trying to commit suicide or gets caught in such a situation or didn’t succeed in such activity then, that person is punishable by imprisonment of one year.
In section 506 of the Indian Penal Code says if any person like your wife or girlfriend threatens you or blackmails you for committing suicide, or for not fulfilling her demands, then you as a husband can file an FIR against her after she can be punishable for two years of imprisonment.
