Respected Maam, Under Muslim Law in India, a woman can seek divorce without her husband's consent through the following methods: 1.Talaq-e-Tafweez: If the marriage contract (nikahnama) includes a clause giving the wife the right to divorce, she can use it. 2.Khula: The wife can seek a divorce by offering a financial settlement or returning her mahr (dower) to the husband. 3.Faskh-e-Nikah: Grounds like cruelty, desertion, or impotence can be used to approach a Sharia court for a divorce decree. To take divorce through Sharia law, you can file a petition for Khula in a Muslim Family Court. Khula is a form of extra-judicial divorce that allows a Muslim woman to dissolve her marriage without her husband's consent. Contact us on our helpline number for further enquiry.
