Hello, I’m considering marrying someone who is not an Indian National nor a NRI but a foreigner, I’m Muslim and he is Muslim too, do we have to register through Special Marriage Act or through Muslim Marriage Act. Our parents are involved and we will be doing Nikah. Does he need to be present in India when we provide notice or my presence is sufficient? Since I’m from Tamil Nadu, the TN registration website allows to do the application process online? Is it okay to go ahead with it online or a must to do in the sub registrar office of my district?
