Visitation rights of a parent after becoming major(18+)

Requesting your opinion on the matter of obligation to Visitation rights of a parent after becoming major(18+).The matter pertains to my step daughter. (who turned 18 years by June 2022 - DOB -June 2004).My wife during her mutual consent divorce, reached an understanding and signed an MOU agreeing to visitation rights to the biological father. Though we don't want to curtail the visitation and have not done that in the past year, even though she turned major last year. We are of the impression that it is out of courtesy we can allow the visitation when requested and not an obligation to do so. Are we right in thinking that once she turned major it is no longer an obligation.
