Can the new G.O. on reservations apply after interviews?

During October 2023, our university (PVNRTVU, Telangana) conducted interviews for teaching faculty based on existing government orders, including provisions for vertical reservations for women within the veterinary faculty unit. After the interviews were completed, the Telangana government issued a new G.O. order implementing horizontal reservations for women. My question is whether it is possible to apply this new G.O. after the interview process has already taken place, given that the interviews were conducted according to the existing rules at that time. As aspirants, we are currently facing difficulties because our university has not released the results due to a court case challenging the old G.O. orders.
