What are my rights regarding wrongful termination after resignation?

Dear Sir, I joined a finance company three years ago. Shortly thereafter, I attended a party on a Saturday, where I had a drink. Before going to the party, I informed my boss, “Sir, I am going home today,” to which he replied, “Okay.” After 5 PM, I went to collect my bag from the dormitory, not the office, and did not engage in any fight. Subsequently, I was terminated by the company. Prior to my termination, I submitted my resignation. I kindly request your assistance in this matter. Thank you for your attention.

- If you believe your termination was wrongful after resigning, you have certain rights. Wrongful termination occurs if you were fired for illegal reasons, such as retaliation or discrimination. Even in at-will employment, you are protected against unlawful dismissals. You may be entitled to severance pay or compensation if your termination is deemed unjust. It's essential to document all communications related to your resignation and termination. Consider sending a notice.
